If you’re looking to start a career as an English teacher, getting your CELTA qualification with the British Council is a great place to start.

CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is an initial qualification for people with little or no previous teaching experience and is one of the most widely taken qualifications of its kind. It is recognised around the world and is a requirement for any teachers looking to work with quality language teaching institutions such as the British Council.

    • have a standard of education that allows entry to higher education in your country
    • competent in written and spoken English (C1-C2 level on the Common European Framework).

How to apply

Please note that the application process will start shortly.

  1. Download and complete the application form (below). 
  2. Send your completed forms by email to: rabat.celta@britishcouncil.org 
  3. If your application is up to the required standard, you’ll then be invited for an interview. 
  4. Please pay the standard non-refundable 200 MAD registration fee at reception. 
  5. If your application is successful and you are offered a place on the course, your course fees must be paid in full before the course start date.

Please note: Acceptance is not automatic. We only start the shortlisting process after the application deadline is over. For specific dates of the application process, please see below:
