Shakespeare competition

On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death, British Council Morocco is organising a poster competition to be held from August 8 to September 10, 2016. Participants must be young Moroccans between 17 and 32 years old graphic design enthusiasts or amateurs of other artistic techniques with a unique sense of creativity.

 The submitted posters will be evaluated by a judging panel to select one winner. He or she will win a graphic tablet.

He / she will also see his/her poster (including credits) used for Shakespeare events organised by the British Council in Morocco.

SPECIFICATIONS

Techniques: Graphic design alone or mixed with other techniques.

The theme: Shakespeare. Your poster can represent his themes, his world, his inspirations and characters from his plays (Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and Henry V).Your own interpretation of one or more of these aspects is strongly encouraged; don’t hesitate to unleash your creativity!

Formats: A digital version .JPEG, size A3 or A2, orientation portrait. (Please keep the original editable format of your poster at 300 dpi if you are selected as a winner.

Participation: Submissions must be done via email at: poster.competition@britishcouncil.ma starting Monday, August 8th.

The subject of the email should contain '' Poster Competition + Name and Surname '' and the email must contain the following information:

Description of your poster (in one or three lines):

Remember to attach your poster to the email.

The deadline to submit your poster is Thursday 15 September, 2016 at 23:55 GMT. No submissions will be accepted passed this date. The winner will be announced on Tuesday 20 September.

The British Council has the right to not designate any winner if the jury decides that none of the tenders can be used as a poster. In this case, symbolic consolation prizes will be given to the three participants who had demonstrated the most creativity.
